Requesting a Retreat
Retreats provided by Quiet Place Ministries are by invitation only so we have an application process. If you are interested in a personal spiritual retreat, please complete our Retreat Request Form. After we receive the request, we will let you know if a retreat is possible within your criteria. Once we know who the request is for (some locations are limited to adults), how far you are able to travel to a retreat location, and what dates you have available for your retreat, we can determine potential retreat location options. Theresa will contact you to see if you are interested in the option(s). Next, facilities or owners are contacted to check on availability. If there are openings, a reservation is made and the scheduled retreat guest is contacted. After a retreat is scheduled, a Letter of Invitation is sent.
We need at least two weeks for the process of setting up a retreat. Scheduling them at least 3 months beforehand is preferable. Many locations book up well in advance, particularly during peak seasons. If you have any questions, you may email or call before submitting a request.
Because these retreats are free of charge, guests take part in a self-guided program that requires an average of four hours a day. This satisfies IRS requirements so our guests do not have to report the value of their retreat on their income tax return. The program consists of any activities that promote spiritual growth or learning. Therefore, time spent in Bible study and prayer counts, along with other activities such as praise and worship, using Christian media, nature walks, hobbies, and tours. Guests are responsible for paying for their food and transportation as well as any activities not included in their retreat.

Our application process begins with completing a Retreat Request Form.
We provide spiritual retreats for rest and refreshment, not free vacations.
We encourage retreats to be 4 - 7 days in length to encourage refreshment.
QPM does not yet own retreat facilities. We partner with individuals and other
nonprofits to provide retreats in a variety of locations in the US.
